Help (or/and place) needed in Wiltshire (M4 corridor)

Message par landyman »

Hello !
I'm just back from 'BANNEGON 2006', our french series club national event.
Few days ago, Manu, a very nice character from our club/forum, went to England to buy a series II.
He wanted to be present at BANNEGON, at last, behind the wheel of a series in good working order...

Unfortunately, he broke down after two hours driving !!! (blown head gasket)
Now, the car is still in england, stored in garage, with garage parking cost running.

Because that mate was so depressed, when back, we decided to launch a "MANU AID", in order to raise fund and help, to bring his landy back to France on a trailer, to find parts and hands to fix the engine, before giving it back to its owner, before he loose definitively his faith in Land Rover series... (should know that he got two other series... hum ! far to be able to run at the moment... )

We found some money, new head gasket, people with a trailer driving licence, towing cars, a place to store and repair the car in France, but we now need to get this car out of the garage as soon as possible, in order to cut the final garage parking price.

So, we are looking for a place near Oxford, where we can safely park the car, before we can be able to pick the car up.
Who can be able to help us ?
I will let you know where the car precisely is as soon as possible. For the moment, i just know that it's 'near Oxford'...

Many thanks.

Landyman,
There are several replies on the SII Forum. We will help Manu if at all possible.

Does he have an Export licence for the SII - we like to keep them in England :biglol:
