re-registering Series III

Message par Dragon87 »

Hi guys

I am new to this site, and have decided that I would like to re-reg my series III, I have the form for FFVE, and will have to take it for it's MOT!

Will I need to do anything else?

Thanks

Regards

Good Afternoon,

I assume you want to get French plates for a UK registered vehicle ?

Not too difficult if your LR is "standard", modified ones (fuel type swop, engines, etc.) are a different matter. Have done it several times now for both Series, RRC's, Defenders & Discos and it is not as bad as some claim it to be.

1 - You'll need a CoC / AdI from Land Rover France (homolog@jaguarlandrover.com) and that is about €180,- They will sent you an application form for the vehicle details and will need a copy of the logbook. We also include a pic of the VIN plate.

Anything other than a CoC/AdI issued by LR France will not be acceptable, regardless of what people say. Some may have been lucky but this is what they will ask for.

2 - With the CoC / AdI you can try to get the CT for the LR (MOT)

3 - Go to the Impot (don't forget the util. bill) for the tax form (Cert. d'Acquisition d'un véhicule teressetre.....) You will not need to pay anything there for a used vehicle but you will need the form.

Before you go to the (Sous)Prefecture make clear copies for your personal records of :
- UK Logbook
- Cert. of Conformation (AdI) as issued by LR France
- Tax form
- Application form (http://www.carte-grise.org/docs/cerfa/2 ... -13750.pdf)
- CT Form

4 - (Sous)Prefecture with :
- UK Logbook (original)
- the CoC/AdH
- Util bill, application form (http://www.carte-grise.org/docs/cerfa/2 ... -13750.pdf)
- tax form
- chequebook
- passport

Be patient, pay your money and in the end you'll get the provional Carto Gris - real one comes in the mail

5 - Get plates made

6 - Insure

Check onlline with the DVLA that your vehicle is recorded as exported. If not, sent them a letter with a copy of the new French logbook and ask them to confirm the export of the vehicle. If this goes wrong, it could become very expensive....

7 - E N J O Y :hola: :hola: :hola:

Good Luck :super:

Hi Dave,
You have done the hard part- the FFVE doc. As you know that just a takes a while.

You therefore dont need the CoC that Arjan talks about as the FFVE 'Attestation de date" makes it surplus.

For the MOT/ CT all you need is the V5 and the attestation de date from FFVE.
45 mins later you can hopefully go to the prefecture or sous prefecture to do the actual registration form.
You will then need all the bits Arjan mentioned. You can use a Credit card instead of the cheque.

They give you a receipt that entitles you to get straight round to feu vert etc to make your plates.
The V5/CG should arrive within 3- 5 days.

I managed to get my CT, through to plates made for my 101, after my FFVE letter arrived in the morning, in about 2 and half hours in December.
