Just a question... (dont' get me wrong...) why are you after a 109', if your 88' cost you that lot already ? do you mean you're going to sell your 88' to have a 109' instead ? in that case, let us know your intentions, as it may interest some of us on this forum.
by the way have you got some pics of your Landy ?
That would be nice to have a look on it... :hello:

I have my old 88 that i like very much.

I bought another that i can use on the land for towing and in winter as the S3 has a heater which my other dosent stupidly i sold my old S3 for just 1000Ffr with winch new tyers and in good order but then i thought a nissan patrol was better.

A 109 is just a thought would have room for the family camping and moveing large objects

If i find one i will buy but it will be as a suppliment not a replacement.

Today i drove 400kms and i was wondering if a 109 would or could be practical?? Im still undecided

Happly ive found via google transport companies that can collect load unload and deliver what ever vehical i may find.

The greatest problem is that buying anything from a Brit is buyer beware. Knowing weather or not a landys worth buying meens looking at it so i may not buy anything! Who can tell

At the moment im looking in Switzerland not nearly so far to go!

I meet the Swiss club at French events i have to say they are very well informed.

Switzerland is also a lot nearer to us than the UK!! They also drive on the same side as us!!!!! And its a lot less expensive to visit!!

They also have snow sking and things!!

I say, now I really must object!!

Switzerland may be closer to you and all that but GB is the home of your chosen motor vehicle! It is buyer beware here, but through the right contacts you will buy a perfect vehicle for your needs!!

I have said it before, and I will say it again;

Members of the DLR forum and / or Phil at DLR would find you a good vehicle at a good price

So Switzerland has skiing and all that pah! we like rain here!!
We also drive on the correct side of the road you know!

Ive decided to give up sking its to crowded!!

What i mean is i live work and drive in France, and drive on the left.

Yesterday comeing back after a long weekend i tried to imagine driveing a rigt hand drive car. Much as i think i would like a 109 i just cant justify the cost and time to find and buy one in the UK

I say that as i do have a landrover and it dose do what i want of it a 109 would be nice but one at the moment i cant afford, remember that the CT and CG together will cost almost 300 euros then the transport in the UK perhaps £100 (100 miles) £27 ferry and 600 kms@ 18mpg about say 100 liters @1.20 euros

Plus no doubt some work before the CT cost after buying 109 1000 euros at least then if i have to go to the UK a couple of times to look at various 109s that will cost rather more 2 retern trips plus rail fare and 2 overnights! looking at it and the stress of travelling not on

All in all its a nice idea online but not one im going to realise

Now im just looking forward to sping a bit of walmth and doing some events with my 88! Hope to meet you once !

I dont know if 110 wheels fit the 88? but i would like to buy some larger wheels 5.5inch?? They are on my list of buy when i find!!

I know what you mean, I drive a left hand drive 101 here in GB, its interesting to drive on the wrong side of the car!!!!

You can pick up, left hand drive 109s here for quite a lot cheaper than right hand drives, especially military ones, but I see your point about all the hidden costs! The solution is to come to the DLR open weekend in September, cheap camping and LOADS of LAndies for sale!!

good luck
