2 months later :
dismantling this serie II is over , I have now a lot of spares for the Dormobile , steering column , gear box , 2 difs , and a lot of small parts as electrics , body , bolts and nuts etc...
I didn't imagine that a frame could be so rusted , it is now ready for the rubbish , in the Sankey trailer :

The engine is not very interesting but the gear box looks like new!

For Korrigan who told us about the trouble for removing the steering relay, here is the way I toke to do it ;

Curiously , the car was fitted with 2 wheels from a 109 and 2 wheels from a 88 , how can it run well?

Hi there,
Mr Jones a écrit : The engine is not very interesting but the gear box looks like new!
Why are you thinking that about the engine ?? is It worn ?? or seized ?? else ??
How would to stock them, preserving from wet, rust ... ??
I've got axles and a gearbox to keep in state !!
Curiously , the car was fitted with 2 wheels from a 109 and 2 wheels from a 88 , how can it run well?
How do you make difference between 109 and 88 wheels ?? Wich size are these rims ??

:mrgreen: It's very simple:
If you have wheels of 5,5 for exemple, you have to calculate a coefficient.
For that, you have to divided 88 by 109 and then apply this coefficient to the wheels themself (without corrections for alteration of age, of course!)
After many years of hard practising, you will be able to notice this small difference without calculation. :mrgreen:
