Hi Mungo,

Maybe you could bring Julie (West Sussex) in convoy with her 1949 S1 "Wilberforce".

If you want, I'll call you about this.

Send me your tel nr on: takeo@landroverclub.net

Hi all

Louise and I are crossing on Speed Ferries. We will be leaving Boulogne about 9.30am on the Friday. We will be in a Series 2a 88" and can travel happily at 60 mph, but may have others with us not able to travel so fast.

We are members of the Series 2 Club and several other members are still intending to come. I am trying to arrange a Club convoy, but all are welcome to join us or meet up with us on-route. I have not yet planned the route, but we will try and avoid the Paris traffic.

Any advice on routes gratefully recieved.

Cheers Mick

You could try something like this to avoid Paris:
Boulogne
Abbevile
Rouen
Evreux
Chartres
Orleans
Bannegon

And some members will come from Rouen so you might meet theim over there ?

Hi,
I hadn't considered coming via Paris as a problem [probably because I have never travelled that route], is it really that bad?
On Autoroute it looks to be mainly motorways bypassing the centre, plus it saves about 80 miles from Zeabrugge.
You've sown the seeds of doubt now Jabbawocky  .

Paris is always a problem in itself, plus there are always giant trafic-jams
and i think - as do the others- that a bypass seems a great idea on the lef or on the right .

The other solution is to travel by night!

Dont you have a computer-assisted série like they made for export ?
Mine as a cruise control (manual throttle), abs (mintex brake shoes) .... and climatisation (two manuals under the windscreen) buet was made fonr inner market and has got no GPS assisted drivetrain !

Hi Guys,

I have managed to book on the same ferry as Jabbawocky.

I was kinda hoping he knew the way and I could follow him

So there'll be 2 Prima powered Landys steaming down through France. You'll see where we are from our smoke trails....

I put the trip into the Michelin route planner and it doesn't seem too bad....
