Bonjour
Just like to say, all the best with the new club and forum, from everyone at the Series 2 Club. Let me know dates of next years events and I will do my best to organise a trip over to see you.
On a personal note, We had two fabulous weeks in the Auvergne, camping near Lac Aydat, in July/August. Great weather, great cheese, good food, wine and empty roads. You don't know how lucky you are!
Salute
Mick

Hello Mick,
Welcome to our new site !
And many thanks for your wishes. It's an honour for us as the series 2 club is one of the best documented club I know on the web and our webmaster Antoine, alias Landyman, use to visit currently your site.
Auvergne is a fabulous area to visit in France, (as you should know now !) for landscape, exceptionnal food, good and friendly atmosphere. I use to go there twice or three times a year...
For our next year events we will send our schedule, but we don't know the actual dates yet. At the moment we have our first meeting on 2nd and 3rd of october near Bourges in Bannegon: to celebrate the birth of our club and the 20th anniversary of the end (officially) of Series' Land Rover production.
Please, see details on the english version part of our web site.
All the best,
Amicalement
Bruno

Bonjour mon amis....
Just to say I hope you all enjoy your meeting.
Maybe next time we can organise a convoy of landys from England.
My French is not so good as your English, but I think I've just registered here and posted this message!

This sounds great !
I think that in the future, we may arrange a trip to bring our Landies back to their roots...
Be welcome on this forum, and come back as much as you want to give us news, for any request, or simply to keep in touch !
cheers !

another visitor from across the channel!
"bonne chance" with your club
I'll be part of the convoy when we get it planned!
Equally, you would be welcomed to any of the landrover shows in this country!
au revoir
Chris

Hi,

be sure we'll meet you once on a major UK event .
(by the way, if one of you can tell us more about dates, general atmosphere, and your club's favorite, that would be great !)
Cheers

Hi,

it's a pleasure for me to get somes contacts over the channel. If you would come in France and across the Normandie country, I joined your convoy with great pleasure. Sometimes I cross on the road some Land Rover from UK here, in the country. And even some Series !! And they are not the last to make signal with their headlights to say hello !! (sorry, I don't know the english name for that ??)
@ bientôt

My other car is a Citroen

Hi,
It might amuse you all to know that our family car is a Citroen Picasso (diesel). Which we've had a few years.
My daughter is leaning to drive in a Citroen AX 10E and my mother has a Renault Megane.
All good cars in their way.....but nothing comes close to driving the Landy.

Thank you to support our car industry...
As we are taking care of your 'heritage'...
