Hi D101,

Welcome !
and please chip in when you like, as some of us are doing on the DLR Forum.
Why don't you register - it's free !
And send us a photo of your 101.

There are 2 very nice ones at Le Temps des Series.

Hi,

I thought I had registered?

It told me I had anyhow, so hopefully

I live in sunny ( ) GB, and I own the last remaining prototype 101 ambulance of the 3 that were made in 1976.

I fyou let me know which buttons to hit I will try to post a pic of her!!

The two in your club look good! The JD one is very nice, is it road legal?

Hi !

There is even a 3rd 101 in our club, it belongs to Dominique. He'll bring it to the Guixaro meeting in March, to the Charentaise in August, to Bannegon in September etc.

Posting pix: there is no "attach" button. Instead, there is a VERY complicated procedure that involves obtaining a Ph.D. in computer science, the use of black magic and a drainpipe. Ask Antoine, the club's 'puter guru. Or Fa, or someone else. It sucks.

Anyhow, welcome to the nicest, nuttiest and utterly craziest Land-Rover club this side of hell !

Now see to it that you attend the compulsory meetings. Bring food / drink specialties from your area to share (we all do). Bring your truck. Bring tools. If you don't speak French, no-one cares, speak something else. It is not mandatory to wear an inverted funnel on your head but, if you do, see to it that the color matches your truck.

Takeo.

Thanks Takeo,

good to see a few 101s !!

Its surprising how many there are spread around when so few were made, I still recon that nearly all of them ever made are still alive!

I will await further guidance before trying to post pics

I cant promise to attend ALL meetings, sorry!!

:hello: Hi Darren 101.

Pics = the same way as on the DLR Forum.

1. You send your pics to someone like Wistiti. Or any other website that publishes your photos.

2. Open simultaneously Your photos (not the thumbnails) and Le temps des Series.

3. Right Clic on "Propertys" of your photo (if it's called like that in English - it's always the last option in the dragbox).

4. Copy the photos adresse "http://my photos/blablabla/etcetcetc..."

5. On your reply to the Forum Le temps des series, click on "Img".
This gives you : "[img]" paste here your photo adress "http://my photos/blablabla/etcetcetc..." and click again on "[img]" which now has a "*" included.

That's all.
To check that it's OK, click on "Prévisualisation" on the bottom of the page.

 I noticed, but I don't know if it comes from my lap top or elsewhere, if you insert text before the photo, or if you try to insert a photo in the middle of the text, it does not always work.

Seems complicated, no, in fact once you have done it once, it's very easy.
(As I did not know how it worked on the DLR Forum, I tried to do it the same way - it works.

All the best, and waiting for your photos Darren...

Hi Darren. :hello:

(Some of us don't reply and others ask you the same question twice, because they have problems understanding English, Do you live in Germany ? ).

For the JD : In England it was one of the only ones that was road legal. To get it road legal in France it should have 2 headlamps. Jean Paul, the owner, is trying to find the best way to modify the vehicle without changing it's looks.

:hello: Cheers, Rory.
