4th - 7th Aout 2016
This location is well suited to encapsulate the Lake District, Scottish Borders, Hadrian's Wall Country and Tynedale.
Along with our annual AGM we intend to host four driving events:-
Lake District Lanes and Passes, self explanatory; 1 Day
Tyne Dale lanes, along Hadrian's Wall and finishing on Isaac’s Tea Trail, the highest lane in England, near Alston; 1 Day
Scottish Borders, Kielder and Hadrian's Wall Road Run; 1 Day
And finally, a short evening drive, Bewcastle Fells and Wet Roads, a collection of North Cumbrian fords and delightful country lanes through the wild and beautiful Bewcastle Fells; 2hrs.[/b]
There will be a Friday Club trip to the Solway Aviation Museum nearby. This will incorporate a cockpit tour of their Vulcan Bomber and a chance for a group vehicle photo under the Vulcan.
Thursday night: AGM and Bar.
Friday Night: Quiz, bar and the rest TBC. Children's activities will take place over the event.
Saturday evening club Barbecue with entertainment.
There will be an opportunity for a garden and house tour on the Saturday with tea and scones at the end. This will an additional booking on the booking form.
It won't all be driving, we would like to hold some workshop meets over the event to explain/show and help with some of the more common queries the pop up time and time again on the forum.
We hope to add to the additional events on the site to compliment the above. These will be made public as we get nearer the event.
Unfortunately, there will be no electricity hookups for caravans on site. Own arrangements advisable if desired.
We have booked: 1x 4 Showers; 2xTrailer Toilets; 4x Porter Loos, 1 Disabled with 1 at the House; 1x Caravan
waste tank and 2x servicing.
I mention this as it demonstrates that we have listened and learned from past mistakes and demonstrates that there should be no problems in this area at this event!
We have the venue booked from the Monday before to the Monday after - so you can extend your stay eclipsee_gold_cup

It's a long way but the Lake district is very beautifull. For me the best way is Zeebruge-Hull.
You can also visit on your way the Peak district.
My Defender (not a Series) and the Vincent Hurricane fitted with the 6 cylinders from a GT6 in the Lake District
